Subject: Concerns about the Humanitarian Crisis and Plight of Meetei – An Appeal to
Draw Your Attention to Manipur (India) Violence
Dear Mr. Secretary-General and Esteemed Members of the United Nations,
We are writing to you as representatives of the indigenous Meetei tribe of Manipur, India, to
bring to your attention the ongoing humanitarian crisis unfolding in our region. Manipur has
been grappling in this humanitarian emergency since May 03, 2023, although incidences of
violence can be traced from earlier months.
